Pre-K

Continuing to nurture your preschooler’s mind, the Kids ‘R’ Kids of Historic Roswell's Lottery Funded Pre-Kindergarten program is filled with enjoyable activities for all children. This is the next stop on your child’s journey toward elementary learning. Here, learning is driven by student development and imagination.

Our program meets and exceeds national and state standards, and addresses all learning styles.  The program's goal is to help each child succeed to their fullest potential, which is why each unit of study is developed with the learner in mind.  Each week the lessons are planned using the Georgia Pre-K content standards and information gathered through a continual assessment process.  Lessons are individualized to ensure that your child's learning is tailored to meet his or her educational needs. 

The Pre-K program is a 6.5 hour instructional day with a very specific schedule as mandated by the state.  The children learn during mealtimes, large group time, music and movement, small group time and center time.  Every minute of the day is full of opportunities planned by our excellent teachers to build on prior skills that will directly lead to kindergarten skills.  The learning centers and curriculum are designed to build a child's comprehension through direct interaction with materials, classmates and highly qualified teachers.  Through independent and cooperative learning strategies, children are able to integrate thought, imagination and creativity into their educational experiences

The lead teachers in our program hold their teaching certificates from the State of Georgia and have been teaching in our Lottery Funded Pre-K program for over 5 years.  Both lead teachers are assisted by a partner with an Associates degree in education.  They recognize children for their accomplishments, building their self-esteem and creating memorable learning experiences with them.  When a children exist our Pre-K program they will be ready to conquer the world of kindergarten!
